Points represent mean estimates, lines represent the 95% confidence intervals based on t-distributions (all variables were normally distributed). Non-significant (i.e. p > 0.05) estimates are shown in grey, parameters without points were eliminated from the respective models through stepwise model simplification. Intercepts are shown separately from parameter coefficients for clarity; note the different ranges of the x-axes. Note that models for edible fungi and bird richness explain very little of the variability in the data (Supplementary Table 2) and were not used to predict potential ecosystem services supply
