  1. aThe permanent plots in Jilin province were established through intensifying the 48 km grid by 50 %, that is, there are 3 plots for each 64 km2 square. The number of plots (5855) in Tibet only includes the ground plots in the 1st sub-population (30 forestry counties). The number of plots in Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang include some RS-interpretation plots, as supplement to ground plots. Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao are not included in this table
